Biography
Natalia Paklina (Udmurtia, Russia, 1960). She made her first black-and-white photos at 10 years old with simple Russian camera “Smena”. After school she continued education in Moscow. From 1985 she works in Animal Ecology and Evolution Institute of Russian Academy of Science (Moscow) as a scientist. Different types of “Zenit” camera were always a part of her expedition equipment. The photos were used for illustration of own articles. Than a big change came in her life – she married with a Dutch man, Chris van Orden, who opened her eyes to birds and presented her a Nikon F3. Together they spend much time for biological investigations and photography, especially in India and China (Tibet). And from that time birds became her favorite photo stars. To photograph birds in natural biotope, in action, to show interesting moments of there life - these are the main items. The step to digital camera Nikon D70 was made in 2005. And in 2008 the Nikon D300 came. And in 2010 - D700
