Biography
Tobias Dansen grew up in the Veluwe area in The Netherlands, where he was immersed in nature by his parents.
After High school, he moved to Utrecht to start studying Chemistry. After graduating at Msc level in Biochemistry in 1997 he started graduate school in the field of Cell Biology and Biochemistry. Upon receiving his Ph.D. in 2001 he moved to San Francisco, USA together with his girlfriend and worked there for over three years at the Cancer Research Institute of the University of California. The beauty of the landscape and wildlife of Western America reignited the old interest in photography. Nowadays Tobias Dansen works as a Biochemical researcher at the University Medical Center in Utrecht, The Netherlands. In his sparse spare time he now tries to capture the beauty of nature, mostly around the University complex and during hiking trips all over the world.
