Biography
Jelger Herder (Alkmaar, 1980) has always been interested in nature. Jelger completed a Master study Ecology at the Free University Amsterdam and started to work at RAVON (Reptiles Amphibian Fish Conservation Netherlands) in 2006. Jelger started nature photography in 2002. He is an all-round nature photographer who has specialized in reptiles, amphibians and fish. He has high quality photo's of all Dutch reptiles and amphibians and fresh water fish. His trademark is to photography the species in a natural way (in their environment). In 2006 Jelger was chosen runner up for the Young CERA Award (ARGUS).
