Biography
Martin van der Giesen (Rotterdam, 1975) grew up in the Hoeksche Waardse polders. Agrarian and polder landscapes made a huge impression from a young age, but the urge to photograph followed at a further stage of his life. Outside of landscape, nature photography appealed to him particulary. Nature photography in broad sense of the word, in which human and agrarian influences also have a place.
Martin takes his pictures mainly in the Netherlands. He practises several types of photography and succesfully finished the Photography College in Rotterdam.
