Biography
Jack Folkers (Utrecht, 1960), aka "Bokje" or "Dwaalgast", was allready interested in all aspects of nature, especially in birds, since his childhood .
He started photography in 1978 and that has become his passion.
Untill 2003 he worked as a land surveyor but he quit his job because he wanted to make his dream, making a long trip around the world, come through.
From 2005 untill 2008 he travelled through four continents and most of his pictures, mainly of birds, mammals and landscapes, are from this trip.
Besides this he focusses on macrophotography of plants and insects.
He published photos in different magazines and books and exposes regularly on expositions.
Specialism
Birds, macro-micro, "remote" nature and rare animals.
