As son of a photographer, Hendrik van Kampen experimented with all the aspects of photography at an early age. After a period of black and white photography, he went over to color photography. Nowadays he is taking digital pictures; due to this technology he is able to keep control over the entire process.
At first Hendrik limited his photography only to holidays abroad. This gave no satisfaction to him and why is something that comes from far away good? So he decided to expand his work field closer to home so he could make more profound of his subjects.
The interest of Hendrik van Kampen mainly goes to the landscape and the influence of the human being to that same landscape. Besides that Hendrik van Kampen is also into nature photography, his speciality is the Wadden Sea.
