Biography  Chris is a birdwatcher since elementary school and started photography on highschool. Both disciplines were taught by his father from a very early age. He improved himself the old-fashioned way by reading, listening, watching and most of all by being out in the field. His interest in The Artctic was always there but grew when his oldest brother moved to Tromso in northern Norway. The holidays there tasted like more and when he started working as a software consultant many trips to the north followed including Europa (Svalbard), Canada, Alaska and Arctic Siberia where where he was looking for pictures of enigmatic birds like Ivory Gull, Ross's Gull, Spectacled Eider and Spoon-billed Sandpiper. He also got interested in Asia and after a first trip to Hokkaido, Japan three more followed as well as a trip to China. His pictures have often been used both inland and abroad. Chris is happily married to Francina, who still stimulates him to make his dreams come true, and they have a son called Stian.
Specialism  Birds, in particular (rare) Arctic species
