Biography
Paul van Hoof (Venray, The Netherlands; 1977) grew up in the northern part of the province of Limburg in the Netherlands and now lives in Arnhem, at the edge of the Veluwe. After he finished his biology study at the university of Nijmegen Paul works as an ecological consultant. Fascination for nature and photography have always gone hand in hand. In 1993 Paul bought his first camera and in 1998 more professional equipment. From 2007 Paul works on a semi-professional basis. As versatile nature and wildlife photographer he works on a large variety of subjects in The Netherlands and abroad. One of his specialisms is high-speed photography like flying bats. Paul has won several international awards and gave presentations at international nature photo festivals.
