Biography
Since I could walk, I was interested in nature. As a child I collected snails in the garden. Now, my interests are focused on insects and plants. In the winter, I like to watch birds, then I have time to grab the binoculars.
I started to photograph in the early nineties, focusing on macro photography. I am familiar with plants and a lot of insect groups. I have writed keys to fly families as hoverflies, robberflies, stiletto flies and Bombylid flies.
Specialism
Plants and animals in their natural environment. Macro photography of plants and insects. In particular, Mark tries to introduce the habitat in the picture, to show where the plant is standing or the insect is living. Joining excursions with friends, I will encounter macro's of various other groups like snails or mushrooms.
