Biography
Hannie Joziasse (Serooskerke - Walcheren, 1948)
As a youngster Hannie was interested in nature already, especially the wild flora attracted her. At the age of 16 she collected plants, sticked them in a herbarium, but after some time she preferred to register the objects in a photographical way. At first Hannie used a simple camera, but later on a SLR with some extension tubes in order to be able to make macro photos.
Once she owned an Asahi pentax she developed herself in technical performance of photography, the selective use of the aperture and in finding fine compositions.
She spent a lot of time to the wild flora, but later on other subjects from nature got a chance too, such as various butterflies, mosses, tree-bark, mushrooms, water and abstract pictures.
Hannie is very fascinated by all aspects of nature. Spring and autumn are her favourite seasons, when the trees show their new leaves and their magnificent colours at the end of the year.
At the moment she loves most of all photographs of mushrooms, plants, landscapes, dunes, sea, trees, mosses, butterflies, dragonflies, sunsets. In the meantime she also pays attention to all insects, water, raindrops, hoarfrost on leaves or plants, structures on ferns, sand, mosses, barks, etc.
Her favourite places to take pictures:
Walcheren, Zeeland and some other nature reserve places in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe, such as the Eifel, Bulgaria, Switzerland and the Alps.
