Peter Verhoog (Monster, 1955) learnt to dive in 1976, and took his first underwater photographs in 1978.
During his journeys he encountered nearly every underwater creature imaginable: from miniature shrimps to great white sharks. His work frequently portrays the subtle beauty of the coral reef structures with their complex biotopes but also the fascinating predators of the blue open waters. Sharks are Peter’s passion, and play a major role in his work. He has taken pictures of them in all waters: from the tropics to the cool Dutch seas. His work was featured in major publications worldwide.
