The sea walnut is an invasive ctenophore species, known for its devestating effects in the Black Sea ecosystem, where it made for a crash in the Anchovy fish stocks. Since 2007 this species occurs in the Belgian Part of the North Sea and scientists have no idea what the long term effects will be.
