Grondster is een plantje dat voornamelijk gevonden wordt op zandpaden in heidevelden die 's-winters erg nat zijn en zomers opdrogen. De plant heeft veel te lijden gehad aan de drang om alles maar te asfalteren en staat hierdoor op de rode lijst als zeer sterk afgenomen. Coral-necklace is a small annual plant found on the dirtroads which are wet in winter and dry in summer. Due to the demand for more accesseble roads and paving them this plant is in danger
